Choosing your bedding
Sateen or percale?
Sateen is woven so that more thread lies on the surface, which gives it a smooth, lightly lustrous face and a fluid drape. Percale is a tight plain weave with a matte finish and a crisp, cool hand that softens with every wash. Both are 100% cotton at a 300 thread count, so the choice is about feel rather than quality.

A duvet cover is named by the width and length of the cover itself, not by the mattress. 140×200/240 suits a single bed of 90×200. 200×200/240 suits a small double or double of 140 to 160×200. 240×220/260 suits a king of 180×200.
