PlushTree is a small, family-run shop. We sell a short, considered range rather than a wide one, because we would rather you bought one set that lasts a decade than three that do not.
Pure cotton, nothing blended in
Every PlushTree duvet cover, fitted sheet and pillowcase is 100% cotton, woven at a 300 thread count. We do not blend in polyester. Blends are cheaper to produce and quicker to dry, but they shed plastic fibres in every wash and tend to pill long before the cotton itself wears out. Pure cotton costs more to make, and we think it is worth it.
Built to outlast a trend
We stock solid colours only, in shades chosen to still look right in five years. There is no seasonal collection to replace, and nothing in the range is designed to be superseded next spring. The most sustainable bedding is the set you do not have to buy again.
Packaging you can recycle
Your order arrives in a printed cardboard box with a fabric storage bag inside. The box is ordinary cardboard and belongs in your paper recycling. The bag is meant to be kept, for storing whichever set is not on the bed.
A short, known supply chain
Our cotton is grown and woven in Pakistan, where our family is from, and comes to us in the Netherlands. We buy in small quantities from mills we know rather than through a broker, and every order is packed and sent by us from home in Almere Poort, not from a distribution centre.
What we do not claim
We do not hold GOTS or OEKO-TEX certification, and we will not print a label on our products that we have not earned. If that changes, you will read about it here first.
